I wish to use the Sapphire GFX card the 5670 Ultimate in my 160XT Plus, however I have some concerns about the height of this GFX card in my case, specifically the height of the cooler above the back plate.

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentatio ... 01&pid=352 (This link will show you the card, unfortunately the zoom feature on the pictures doesn't work).

First off, has anyone tried this card in the 160XT Plus. I know it's probably unlikely, but I thought it worth a try.

Second, Is there a standard height that a full height case must allow above the top of the metal base plate.

Thanks

I love how they don't list any dimensions for the card even though it clearly has a nonstandard gigantic doombringing passive cooler! :)

I don't like your chances. I've managed to squeeze a GTX295 into the HD160 Plus, but nothing that excessively tall.

Tell me about it. I swear to god, some of these companies haven't got the brains they were born with.

I talked with Jake Mete of http://www.pureoverclock.com who did a review of the card and he measured the distance above back face plate. It's 30 mm, so there is just 5 mm spare.

He put a tape measure by the side of the card and sent it to me, so I've attached it.
